ANGLING FACILITIES AVAILABLE FOR OUR DISABLED FRIENDS

The B.D.A.A. with much appreciated help of Environment Agency, have four disabled anglers pegs available on the Sibsey Trader Drain at Stonebridge, together with separate car parking facilities. A gradual concrete  footpath with hand rail descends the bank to a concrete walkway, off which are four pegs. These pegs are available to all disabled anglers only & comply with safety regulations for the use of wheelchairs.

In 2006 thanks to the R.E.E.L. project a further 4 anglers pegs are now in use at Wyberton Chain Bridge (near Oldrids Downtown) which  will have wheelchair access & car parking facilities behind the pegs.

Also R.E.E.L. project have provided us with 10 enhanced platforms with some car parking spaces at Northlands Bridge on Trader Drain which can be used by semi-ambient anglers or for teaching purposes.
